You may have read about many diet plans that promise to reduce your weight by an unbelievable amount in a very short time. Most of these diet plans do not work and many actually pose health risks. A fat loss diet plan should be the one that not only helps you lose weight in good time, but also keeps your weight in check on the longer run. Here are some guidelines for reducing your weight:

1. Calorie Counting – You should always count the amount of calories you consume and burn more calories than you have consumed.

2. Good fat and Bad fat – You can’t just cut the intake of fat altogether in order to lose weight. There are certain fatty acids which the body needs. A good fat loss diet plan is the one that resuces the intake of saturated and trans fats.

3. Eat little but frequently – The point where most diet plans fail is when you feel pangs of hunger in between meals. You may be able to avoid junk food for some time, but you can’t always do that. That is why you should plan your meals in such a way that there is not a significant gap between consequent meals. It is important however not to eat too much in a single meal.

These guidelines constitute what an ideal fat loss diet plan should be like. Try to adopt it and you will lose your flab faster than you expect!
